As a real fashion addict who can’t get enough of fashion and who has been even more inspired by the London Fashion Weekend currently taking place at the Somerset House from 19th to 2nd September, with all the creativity around the fashion designers and the truly spectacular shows. I wanted to write about one of my favorite passions and how it relates to London.

London is amazing in terms of shopping, a shopping paradise because you can find such a wide range of high fashion and cheap brands. My favourite shopping spot is, of course Oxford Street but I also really like the two big Westfield shopping malls in Stratford and Shepherd’s Bush.

Oxford Street is in the centre-north of London in the district known as Mayfair in the borough of Westminster; and the nearest tube stations are Oxford Circus and Bond Street. You can take the Bakerloo Line, Central Line and Victoria Line or the Jubilee Line and Central for Bond Street. Oxford Street is the largest and most famous shopping street of the city.

At Oxford Street you find a huge offer of luxury brands but also stores for those on a low budget. The young fashionista will love the multi-storey shops of Primark, Forever 21, New Look, Bershka, Zara and River Island (River Island has a Rihanna collection at the moment). Also the very popular fashion brands Topshop and American Apparel can be found there.

To be in the luxury circuit you have to visit New Bond Street which crosses Oxford Street. There you find more exclusive brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, Victoria Secret, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Chanel and Oro Gold which uses pure gold to produce cosmetics. If your budget prohibits luxury you will still be absorbed by the window shopping experience.

To grab a designer bargain, don’t forget to go to TK MAXX, a big fashion outlet. TK MAXX is located on Charing Cross Road which is also very close to Oxford Street.

After a long shopping day you will probably be very hungry. Don’t worry, you starve to death, Oxford Street has a good selection of restaurants where you can get fast food or a proper dinner. Pret-a-Manger is a small chain that can be found all over London, it’s very popular thanks to its wide range of coffee and healthy snacks that include fruit, sandwiches and salads, present several times along Oxford Street.

On rainy and cold days, I prefer to shop at Westfield. There are two shopping centres, one in Stratford (Stratford City) and the slightly smaller and fancier version on west London; Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush. You can get to Stratford on the Central Line, the Jubilee Line and the London Overground. Shepherd’s Bush can be easily reached by bus, too.

Both malls provide a great offer of different shops and brands and also a wide choice of international restaurants under one roof.

In Westfield Village (Shepherd Bush) you will find over 40 luxury top designer fashion shops, including Dior, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Prada and Versace. Additionally, Topshop, Bershka, River Island, H&M and Zara are present, but not the cheap brands like Primark and New Look. Westfield is focused on luxury and extravagance.

Westfield Stratford with over 334 stores is the biggest shopping centre in Europe. From hairdressers to grocery stores, from clothes to jewellery, you will find everything you will ever need. Westfield Stratford has low and middle price brands like Bershka, Lipsy, New Look, Primark, Forever 21, Gerry Weber and many more. You should definitely pay a visit to this huge shopping paradise because it surely belongs somewhere among the most important tourist spots in London (unless you hate shopping, of course).
