at Wembley Stadium
“Guess who’s back, back again?”
The American singer Eminem, also known under the pseudonym of his devilish alter ego Slim Shady, will become the first rapper to perform at Wembley Stadium in London on the next 11th and 12th July.
Eminem, the artist with controversial songs and merciless rhymes, sweep away all negative criticism for every new album released. The latest one, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013), sold more than a million copies in the whole world and reveal that the fans are still captivated by his songs’ musicality and above all by the provocative but authentic themes at hand in each one of them, including a lot of personal autobiographical stories. This very intimist touch in each one of his protest songs has greatly helped him to come closer to his audience.
Besides of making a clean sweep at some Grammy Awards ceremonies, Eminem multiplied records (recently he became the Spotify’s most streamed artist of all time) and made the unthinkable in 2003 winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song for Lose Yourself, a track composed in a few minutes for the 8 Mile movie of which he’s the lead actor.
On the crest of his popularity and very long-awaited by his English audience since 2010, he didn’t get down when the Queen Elizabeth II forbade him to perform in Hyde Park lately. He convinced the Wembley stadium’s organisers to add an extra date on the 12th July.
