1. CHECK-IN

Check in is available from 2pm on your day of arrival. A valid Photo ID must be presented upon check in, preferably a Passport, ID card or Driving License. Check in is available through until 4am the following day. Failure to check in by this time will result in your booking being cancelled and the relevant cancellation fees applied. If you will be arriving late please contact us before 4am so we can make sure your booking isn’t cancelled.

2.CHECK-OUT

Check out is by 10am on the day of departure, guests must check out at reception and hand back all security cards. Late check outs are not permitted and any guests who fail to check out by 10am may be charged a fee of £10 and their belongings removed from the room.

3. Luggage Storage

Guests are welcome to use our available luggage storage to store their bags & belongings on the day of arrival, prior to checking in, during the stay and on the day of departure after checking out. Palmers Lodge do not accept responsibility for the safety and security of any belongings left on site. Further terms for storage in our lockers can be found attached to the lockers and at reception.

4. ROOM ALLOCATION

At Palmers Lodge we take great care to allocate beds in a way we think will be best for each booking. Please note that when buying dorm beds from any web site it does not automatically mean that all the guests on that booking will be in the same room. Although we always try to allocate all the guests in each booking to the same room this is not always possible.

5. AGE RESTRICTIONS

Children under 16 years old must stay with a parent or legal guardian in a private room (not in shared dorms).

Guests between the ages of 16 and 18 must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) who is staying in the same dorm/room. Those travelling alone must bring a passport photocopy of their parents or legal guardian as well as written permission from them.

Children under the age of 2 stay for free in existing bedding (private rooms). Children aged 2 or over must book their own bed. Please note that we cannot provide extra beds.

Palmers Lodge does not operate a maximum age limit, however, please be aware that you may be allocated to a top bunk in one of our dorm rooms. If you would like to be assigned a bottom bunk, please contact our team and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

6. NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKINGS

Non-refundable bookings cannot be cancelled or modified without incurring a charge equal to the full value of the reservation. Payment for the full value of non-refundable bookings is required at the time of booking, failure to supply a valid payment card or if we are unable to obtain payment from the card at the time of making the booking will result in the booking being cancelled.

7. MAXIMUM STAY

Palmers Lodge operates a maximum stay policy of 14 nights. No guests can stay longer than 14 total nights within any 6-month period.

8. LATE CANCELLATION CHARGES

Cancellation charges and cancellation periods vary depending on the type of booking and the platform which it is booked through. Please check your confirmation email for further information and terms.

Guests are reminded that once they have paid on the day of check-in, no refunds will be issued

9. DISCRETION

All bookings are subject to availability and Palmers Lodge reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.

10. GUEST BEHAVIOUR

The comfort, safety and security of our guests are of paramount importance to Palmers Lodge. Any guest(s) who, in the opinion of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be requested to leave the hostel premises and will not be offered a refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local residents and property. In the case of groups, the group leaders must ensure that all members of their group behave in an acceptable manner. Failure of any individual group member to do so will result in the expulsion of the whole group.

 

 

11. SMOKING & vaping

Smoking & vaping is not permitted anywhere within the Palmers Lodge buildings. Any guest found smoking or vaping within the building will be asked to leave the premises immediately and will not be offered a refund. A smoking area and ashtrays are provided outside the building for guests who wish to smoke.

12. Food & Drink

Food & Drink is not permitted in any of our rooms, there is a bar, restaurant and guest kitchen available for use. Alcohol purchased from outside of our property is not permitted to be consumed on our premises under the terms of our alcohol sales license. Anyone found consuming alcohol on our premises purchased outside of the property will have it confiscated and may be asked to leave the premises without a refund. Drinks purchased from our bar can only be consumed in the bar, restaurant and beer garden area.

13. Illegal SUBSTANCES

Palmers Lodge operates a zero-tolerance policy for any and all illegal substances. Anyone found in possession of such substances will be removed from the property without refund and the police contacted.

14. PERSONAL PROPERTY

Guests are asked to use the secure lockers in each room, there are also additional lockers available for hire in the common area. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that their personal belongings are always secure. Palmers Lodge accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage to property however sustained or caused.

15. PALMERS LODGE PROPERTY’S

Guests will be expected to reimburse Palmers Lodge for any damages caused by inappropriate behaviour during their stay at any of the Palmers Lodge properties.

16. SECURITY CARDS

Upon check-in guests will receive a security card for access to their room. These cards are activated for the period of stay only and must be handed back to reception on check out. Failure to return the card will result in a £5.00 charge which may be charged against the customer’s credit card on file.

17. LIABILITY

Except in relation to death or personal injury caused by our negligence Palmers Lodge’s liability remains, at all times, limited to the value of the services booked, excluding any amendment charges paid to us.

18. YOUR INFORMATION

Palmers Lodge shall only store and use information you supply to us or which is supplied to us for the purposes of carrying out our contract with you and to inform you of other services and offers which we make available from time to time. If you do not wish to receive such information, please let us know by contacting us via our website or by writing to us at any of the addresses to our venues.

19. ERRORS AND OMISSIONS

Any omission or errors in sales literature, web pages or site, order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgement, despatch note, invoice or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability. We will advise you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as is reasonably possible thereafter.

20. Harassment

Harassment towards guests or staff of any kind will not be tolerated and any guests found to be harassing anyone at our properties will be asked to leave and will not be offered a refund.

21. Flexible Bookings

Flexible Bookings can be cancelled up until 2pm the day before the start of the booking. The card provided by the guest at the time of booking will be charged at midnight on the day of arrival for all accommodation fees.

22. Parking

Parking is charged at £10 per day for guests and £15 per day for non-guests. Parking is offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Guests are required to park responsibly without blocking the entrance to the car park, our buildings or other vehicles. Palmers Lodge cannot be held responsible for damage or theft of any vehicles parked on its premises.

23. Pre-authorisation

Palmers Lodge reserves the right to pre-authorise a guest card at any time after booking for an amount, up to the value of the booking, on the card provided by the guest at the time of booking. This fee is held by the acquiring bank not by Palmers Lodge.
